Default Weird pc display issue, native LCD resolution not avail?

Alright, so I have a dell 2007fpw/wpf or whatever and a pair of 7900 GTX's

In forceware 84.21 everything seems to work ok, my native resolution of 1680x1050 is available and all is well.

If I update to forceware 91.31 this resolution is no longer available and the monitor defaults to 1600x900 and everything looks like garbage. 1680x1050 is not even in the list of available modes and is not in the list of modes when I deselect the "hide modes this monitor can't display" checkbox.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you updated the drivers for the videocard, but now get the latest drivers for the monitor. FTW

Or atleast make sure that your PC is recognizing the correct monitor.

One last thing - but I doubt it, cuz your videocard is new - but maybe, just maybe your card doesn't support a resolution that high. I do vaguely recall some funky limitation as to how high DVI cables can go up to - maybe 1600x900 is the max. (I doubt it, but worth a look-see)

yeah, I don't think that is it... 7900 GTX is pretty much top of the line, and I have two of them

It was all working fine with the older video card driver, I guess I'll just have to use that and deal with the performance deficiences. Powerstrip doesn't even seem to help with this.
