Hope some of this helps

Talks about power
This will help the most it is a really good page with lots of tables and calculators.
Has the most info just use the menu on the right and u can find just about anything, but it doesn't really talk about how to install stuff.

And as for routing Keep your power on one side of the car and everything else on the other (I think thats right).

What kind and year do u have? And the only thing I think u have to buy now it a wire harness adapter. I will plug into your old wire harness then plug right into your new deck. The new deck should be pretty similar in how it gets mounted.

GC8 head unit removal and install

If u have this deck this might help

Thats all I could find for now.

Yeah, it's possible and one easy way of hooking up amps to the stock headunit is buy an aftermarket sound processor (e.g., the fosgate 3sixty.1, 3sixty.2). I prefer the 3sixty.2 because of what it can do. A little pricey but worth it.

Considering it was last bumped over a year ago and the OP is from 03' sure.. seems fitting that some of the links would be dead...

The manifesto at the top of this section covers most of that... and what it doesn't, this does.. http://www.bcae1.com/

Default instal aftermarket radio

I have found a lot of information on the actual wiring codes when changing out the stock radio head to an aftermarket cd player, but I want to know exactly how to take the stock cd player out... do I need to take the entire dash apart or just the center? What tools do I need? I have done these exchanges in Honda's but this is my first Subaru! Thanks

Oh ya, I have an 02 Wrx SportWagon

It simple... you pull the radio trim at the bottom (you might have to move the shifter and all) it should pop out from bottom to top... then it's like 4 screws and the HU is out... remove the brackets from the stocker and re-use on the new unit.. if it's a single DIN, you will want a cubby pocket.. if you get one from a forester, they have a folding lid..
