Fuel additives +/-
I have 201k miles on my 91 Legacy. I was wondering if additives like cleaners actually do anything benificial?

I throw a can of Techtron in there every 5K about. On a previous car I had the Motorvac treatment done and it really made a difference. Others who have had it done have said the same about motorvac. I was told about it from a freind that teaches auto mechanics.
FYI here is a link on motorvac: http://www.motorvac.com/Consumer%20S.../consumer.html I'm not affiliated with this in any way but I thought it was worth while for an older motor. It was for my previous car because it had a very complicated intake system, not sure about the RS though. Anyone? [This message has been edited by Peaty (edited May 28, 2000).] |
