Talking Anyone break into a WRX?

Or have experience in breaking into Subarus with a slim-jim? Is it push, pull and in what general area? I know I'm gonna take hell for this but I needed to break into my car. Seriously!!! I really didn't have the patience to figure it out. Be gentle with your comments

Where's your spare key (remote)? I can give you a ride if it don't take too long. Call if you need.

I'd like to see eatwrx go and pick up winslow.

I've done it on trucks and the manual type door locks but don't really know about electrics.

Sorry, you could always pay $20 for a locksmith to open your door. Which would be much cheaper than breaking one of your windows.

Lots a luck. From the tone above, just remember I was trying to help. Sounds like your day has gone as well as my weekend.

My car is about 20 miles away at a park and sell and I was too lazy to go home and get the key. I have a slim-jim and figured I'd give it a shot.

You should have snapped into a slim jim.

Most people carry a knife, pepper spray, gun, club or leathermans. Winslow carries a slimjim around.

This doesn't look too handy. I bet you can break a window with it.

I had to have a dude break into my car in Whitehorse Canada when I drove down to orygun. Whitehorse had horrible car theft rate, so I heard, so I started my car, took the remote off the keychain, locked the doors, and let it warm up. I went out, pushed the clicker, and it didn't work. I learned a valuable lesson that day.

As for how to do it. I only watched the guy do it, it took him about 40 minutes to break into. Apparently subaru's are hard to break into. The guy put grease all over the slim jim before trying to do anything, that might be a good tip for you.

Good luck.

I tried this model but it wouldn't fit in the slit.

If your car is less than 3yrs old and less than 36,000 miles, call Subaru Roadside Assistance 1-800-261-2155. They'll dispatch someone to slimm it for free.

I thought that existed but didn't have the paper work in front of me. Does the extended warranty do that beyond that mileage/time?

just take your shirt off and break through the window, and then you'll realize it was unlocked the entire time, but it will only work if you have someone else with you to try the handle after you break the window or call a locksmith. i dont think you can slim jim our locks can you?

I watched a locksmith (sent out by Roadside Assistance) open a WRX once..took about 20-seconds(most of which was used signing the paperwork)! Hint: he used a couple plastic wedges and a slim jim between the frameless window to push the unlock switch on the driver's side door...

Brent.
