Flashed my own little tune onto the ecu that stopped detonation. Previous owner had most likely looked in his couch cushions for some pocket change for the penny tune on the car. Couldn't even call that thing "walmart tune" that thing must've been dollar store tune.

I said nice things to it and told it I would get it some new brakes, rotors, and a car wash soon.

All but ready to drop back in. Hit a little snag, the KB turbo inlet and IAG AOS have a bit of a compatibility issue, but I ordered some fittings that should resolve the discrepancies. IAG uses two hoses from the inlet but KB only provides a plug for the second port (their AOS only uses one I guess). Gonna try out the fittings tomorrow and see which one works best.

Got a bunch of gear oil too, cant wait to get it all back together (hopefully next week). Its only been since July lol.

Today been trying to diagnose a rough-idle. No CEL, but a smell of fuel. Removed the coil packs and will take out the spark plugs tomorrow morning - ran out of time today

I killed it.

My foot slipped off the brake and onto the throttle as traffic came to a sudden stop in front of me, I rear ended the SUV I was behind (At a safe following distance until I ****ed up like a spaz) and pushed everything level with the radiator back into the engine, curled the hood, etc.

No airbags went off, but it's just so much damage. It's almost guaranteed to be a write off.

And it was a total loss. Insurance paid me $9200 for it so I'm not going to cry about it, but I liked that car a lot even for all its problems and the poor fuel economy and the stumbling in and out of it I had to do due to my height and a bad hip and... Actually, bye Felisha. Back to another Jeep Renegade (because nothing says "get away from problems" like a Fiat)

Default What'd you do to your subie today?

02 wrx: Replaced my Morimoto D2H bulbs, one had stopped working but they are sold in pairs. So replaced both, kept the good one as a spare.
Oil change with the new Valvoline protect and restore 5w30, oem black oil filter. Washed it, really needed it, was looking green from all the pollen.
