Default I'm embaresed by how stupid my new car(Mini Cooper S) community is

So I just got a Mini Cooper S. Had to get rid of the WRX when I moved and needed good gas millage for long commute. I decided to join a Mini cooper forum "north american motoring", and while going through the pages I found a post titled I want to reactivate the redline LED. while reading this he states

"I know that they're off for a reason. But I just want the light to be on. I like seeing the needle go into the redline -- even though the actual redline limit is higher than the LED lights."

the worst part is that not even one person questioned it. This group of people are the worst!!!

It's just a silly LED, who cares?

Edit: Also, I bought an xB to replace my Forester. You haven't seen terrible forums until you've seen ClubXB.

NAM isn't bad. It's very small, so it isn't as entertaining as this place. There are far fewer idiots there as well. Spelling, Grammar, and punctuation are alive and well with the MINI crowd.

You mean like here? they criticize, then go off topic, post stupid non related videos/pictures and the OP original question never gets answered?

they actually addressed the question, in question? shocking.

People can rag on nasioc all they want but Subaru community is one of the best out there. There is a lot of good info here if you know how to find it with a lot of people that really know they're stuff.

If fact a good friend of mine recently bought an 05 sti and half the reason he chose a Subaru was to be apart of the community. He only forums I can think of that rival this one are maybe the miata forums.

You know there is a forum titled "off topic" for a reason. Your first mistake was selling your Impreza for a Mini. You're one of them now, ya donut.

Honestly, NASIOC often makes me miss IMOC. Smaller, more informed, more polite.

But each car club is different. The Fiat Spider owners club I was in was all about paint matching and finding original wheels.
