Most of you won't know what this is but those that do will understand how incredible it is to see one of these in person, let alone having it in your living room.
It's an ARRI Alexa Studio and I'll be using it this week for a workshop at Maine Media.

As it sits in the images below it's worth over 1/4 million dollars, eeeek!!

This blows my mind. I got pulled over on 95N in Maine for staying in the left lane for too long after passing!

That's crazy, did you get a ticket?
I guess it depends on where you are. There is one trooper in my town and he knows my car and knows where I work so he waves at me in the morning when I pass by

That is a strange law but it's true... Left lane is for passing only. It might be a New England thing, I've heard of people getting pulled over in Mass and New Hampshire for that.
Also, it gives the cops a good reason to pull you over.

They finally started to ticket people who just sit in the left lane in NJ and it's the greatest thing ever.

Hey, that's really exciting. It'll make a huge difference!

Can you do me a big favor though? I was wondering if you could not post pictures onto my car thread. It creates confusion for other members when they read through it. I'm excited for you but I'd like to keep it on point.

Hope you don't take this the wrong way and I'd encourage you to start your own build thread. It looks like you're on the way to a nice build yourself.
Thanks for understanding.

Nope, no ticket, just some grilling and lots of looking through the windows.

Definitely was bored and wanted to pull me over. Once he saw the skis and snowboards in the back and sent us on our way.

Sugarbush is great - went to school in VT, had a pass to the Bush for 2 of my 4 years up there. Make sure to hit up American Flatbread next time you're there!

Man, that just got me so hungry looking at their food. The Pizza in Maine is terrible! We hit up Mad Taco instead but I'll definitely try it when I'm there next month. Thanks!

Haha no problem! Also recommend a trip to the Alchemist in Waterbury - pick up some Heady Topper, you won't regret it.

I bet I can answer those, he likes the stances but questions our suspension platform compared to European design, and at one point he was considering after market strut/coil combo, because of the valving/damping and full travel.
As far as the IC, the stock IC is fine at stock turbo levels, because it flows within its efficiency range, a bigger turbo would need more air. However the stock endtanks are known to come apart at higher than stock boost levels, unless your secure them. The PW is a very nice IC and eye candy, and I know originally he planned on more power but currently his build is pursing other directions We'll see how close I was, and what he actually says, lol

I just got back from a nice trip with my car and the suspension was definitely the best part. I'm only on click 3 of 15 in dampening but I felt it was perfect for the twisty roads through the mountains. I've had my trouble with the coilovers to start out with but the new design of them are making them really competitive for their price. I've been given all the updates from Stance as they are coming out so I have no complaints at this point with them. Also since I made the protective covers for them, they have been staying dirt free which makes them happy.

The intercooler, as Jorden said is just eye candy at my power levels. It's a great design but if I was 100% sure that I won't be going for more power I would have saved the $1000 and bought a new appliance for my house!

No difference at all in power and would have been fine on the stock one.

Cheers!

Yeah, 21-22 and sometimes 24...
I didn't run the stock one for long enough to say it will work forever but it worked well for me until I changed to the PW. I hear all sorts of stories about the stock intercooler. It may go at 17 or 25, who knows until it actually happens. I'd feel comfortable at saying 20 psi will go a long way.

Did you bake them after each stage? (prime, bake, color, bake, clear, bake) or just bake after all stages were sprayed?

3 Coats of Clear

I did bake them after each stage and also warmed up the calipers before I started too. It helped the paint stick really well having it up to about 100 degrees to start with.
First the primer went on, baked for 20min at 170, let cool to 90-100 degrees.
Then Color, bake for 20 at 170, let cool overnight.
Warm back up the next day to 100 then clear, clear, clear, then bake for 2 hours at 170 then cool slowly overnight.

Then they sat for a couple days before I put them on...
It's the most patient thing I have ever done but they are basically flawless!

Good luck,

- Jason
