Default Do cops have new radar gun that doesn't set off radar detector?

It happened to me a few times recently, that cops pointing his radar gun directly at me and my Valentine 1 doesn't go off. I am pretty sure his radar gun is activated since he is pointing it at me (this is multiple times), and I am pretty sure my Valentine 1 is in perfect working order.

So anyone knows that cops got new equipment that doesn't activate current generation radar detector?

If there's any justice in the world, the next time they point a gun at you, the safety wont be on.

Pop..

Quote:
POP mode works by sending out a quick burst of pulse radar at approximately 67 milliseconds. MPH Industries admits that while in this mode, that the displayed speed of a vehicle may not be accurate. They recommend that the officer only use this mode to obtain an estimate of speed from the target vehicle, establish a vehicle tracking history, and then switch to normal mode to obtain the exact speed.

Laser? And no, your laser detection won't pick up a laser speed detector pointed directly at you.

Wow, you are serious aren't you?

Radar detector is legal in CA and my speeding days are over, all those radar guns pointing at me and I wasn't pull over a single time. I just noticed the detector didn't go off and was wondering why. I have a Valentine 1 because I used to be a crazy speeder, I sure am glad I am over that!

Well normally it would be related, but in my case, not related at all.

All these cops desperately wanted to catch me speeding by pointing their radar gun at me, only to see a disappointing # on their gun.....speed limit.

I haven't been pull over in I forgot how long, over 3~4 years I say.

Well, them being police and all, you'd say they have a right to point their speed-sensing devices at you any time, anywhere. Right?
