Thanks Ivan! It's way cool to hear you say that since you've been with me from the beginning of this journey!

Here's one with my camera that my friend took. Full auto everything since they're more amateur and usually just use a cell phone, but I thought it was kinda cool composition.

Here's a picture jerseyjessi took a month ago by the Alaska Railroad station.

To answer your question, Ivan, I have the replica side skirts. I didn't mount them, though. I know that they put a screw in the rear most part at the wheel well area and another at the front most part in the wheel well area, along with a bunch of screws underneath. My 3M gap-fill lip hasn't been sticking on, so I'm planning to use some crazy glue to stick the 3M rubber onto the plastic side skirt itself. CCA Motorsport added extra 3M tape which stopped the cross-wind vibration noise that would happen.

I really want the OEM lip kit. The finish just looks better (in pictures).

So this will be my last winter in Alaska. It's impossible to find 18" snow tires used. Seems overkill to buy new ones that I'm just going to sell in the Spring, but oh well. I set a quote request to American Tire and just got a call back: $788 for Blizzak WS70 take-offs with less than 50 miles on them up in Fairbanks. No thanks!

I wish I had significant updates for ya'll. I will note that my wiring from my side mirror install is coming loose and started to dangle, so I ziptied those suckers, both passenger and driver sides. Annoying. I need to get those cleaned up because as is my dome light won't come on when I open the door or approach the car. It's tied in to my driver side mirror puddle light that doesn't work either. It's a specific connector that I've been ignoring since I installed the lights.

Yup! Got places to see. Things to do. Aiming to be out of here May 1st, 2015. Saving up money now. PFDs will help a lot. I don't want to spend money on snow tires, but I'm thinking it'll be okay once I sell them in the Spring to offset getting new summer tires. These Dunlops are shot for sure.

Also need to start tidying up my job resume (don't know how to do that accent mark, like "Beyonce" or "Espanol" ).

17" BBS wheels or 18" BBS wheels? Might have to make a firm decision on these very soon...

Negative Chano, go back.

But after seeing why, I too have been looking for 18' winters. Today I called around for 18' studded tires and have yet to find any under $1200 mounted and balanced.

Yeah honestly money is the only issue. I go through this every winter ever since I've owned Subarus. I think maybe one I've used one set more than one winter, otherwise I'm always switching or selling my cars and having to get new sets. I'm actually trying to plan this one out, because I'll need new snow tires when I move to Jersey and 17" just seems way more practical. Plus this doesn't look HORRIBLE, especially on 15mm spacer adapters. I have the option of putting the STI logo center caps on them, so I think that would bring back the unity of my STI project car.

It looks good with the spacers. I don't like these wheels without spacers.

Meaty! I like it. 17" winter tire with more sidewall makes more sense than upsized 18s...

Next wheels after these will be the special edition 17x8 WRX STI wheels, same as BRZ STI wheels. I think with the spacers they'll look way better on the BRZ.

So yeah, it looks like I'll be going with these for the foreseeable future. TWINSIES!

It's just much more economical for me right now. I was looking at replacement summer tires in anticipation of my road trip. Looking at Low-Rolling Resistance tires. Nice prices. The preferred set up for new wheels would be:

17x8 5x114.3 Black STI 2015 WRX Special Edition Wheels

Yokohama ADVAN Sport V105

I like the BBS too. I've been looking for a decently priced non curbed 04 set but no luck.

I paid probably around $800-900 for each of my two sets and all had some curb rash.

I don't mind paying extra for a clean set. I just haven't seen any.

10 years with no curb rash? I'd pay one million dollars bucks for those!

I'm sure there's people out there who took the wheels off to get some sweet American racing wheels or rotas instead of the lame stock wheels on their new car.

Davin has been nice enough to GIVE me stock 2011 WRX tires. They're not very much used and ironically were the same ones I first drifted on two years ago after I got the BRZ. I believe I embedded the video a bunch of posts down. Scheduling a tire swap ASAP. Sacrilege to drive a BRZ on dry pavement with oversized studless winter tires.
