Rallycross at the Badlands!
Registration closed, max participant level reached.... stayed tuned for updates or to see if spots open up.
Registration closed!! December 9th 2012 Rallycross at the Badlands - Badlands Offroad park in Attica Indiana. DISCLAIMER: This is not an SCCA sanction event. This even is being hosted courtesy of the Badlands Offroad park and a few us from www.IndianaImpreza.Com who have volunteered to set it up. Insurance is provided by the Badlands, all participants and spectators will need to sign a waiver IMMEDIATLY upon entering the property. NOTE: This is open to all types vehicles (cars / trucks / jeeps / etc..). We'll have a basic safety inpsection prior to starting, but ultimately it will be up to the participant to decide if thier vehicle is okay to run. LOCATION: The main address for the park is 3968 North Xavier Road Attica, IN 47918. We will be entering directly into the park at the south entrance off of Brier RD. I'll try to have better directions up soon - in the mean time - Google Map Link REGISTRATION: $50, register by Dec 1st - ,please register early, late & walk-on registration may be higher. Update: online registration now available: Registration cost includes park admission http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...1#.UJr-09XWng0 Please send payment via paypal to [email protected]. If you do not have paypal, please contact Nate via the same email to work out details. Thanks! TENATIVE SCHEDULE 9:00AM-10:00AM - Registration / Tech Inspection / Course Walk 10:15AM-10:30AM - Mandatory Driver's Meeting 10:30AM -First car on course. 12:30PM - Lunch Break 1:30 - Start Afternoon runs 3:00 - Awards The Course: The course is being prepared for us by the staff at Badlands, we've toured the property and given them the layout we want. They will take a bulldozer and smooth and level the course to make it appropriate for our cars. The course is about 3/4 mile long over a mix of hard packed dirt and gravel with some serious elevation variation. I'm anticipating it to be 90-120 seconds per run, and aiming for at least 10 runs. Here are some assorted views of the course from other vantage points to give a better idea of the layout: Standing on the NE corner looking SW Standing on the west side looking east Looking at the straight the hill climb back up on to the top ridge Please keep an eye on this thread for updates - will likely be updating this a bit over the next month. AND PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG!!! The more people we can get, the better this will be and the better our chances become of getting to do this again in the future. (Quick apology, I'm a long time lurker... haven't really posted on here recently. I'm really not trying to spam, just want this event be really successfull ) Thanks!

Snow tires should be fine, I ran a few practice laps yesterday before they go over it with the dozer, had snow tires on the impreza and they preformed quite well.
Helmets will be required, not sure if we'll be able to get loaner helmets or not. This should be a blast, and if it works out, the property owner seemed very willing to turn this into a reoccurring event. |

Whhhhaaaaat this looks amazing! Nicely done getting this together.
If I can make it, I will be bringing either snows or gravels. And an extra helmet for a loaner if anyone needs one. Has this been posted on DirtyImpreza.com yet? |

Ever driven your car through there???? When I took the Subaru out there for a trial run yesterday, it was awesome. It was on a weekday so I had the park nearly to myself - otherwise I expect that I would have gotten A LOT of funny looks.

Sounds like an awesome time. Do you all have flyers or any type of digital media? I would love to start spreading the word locally and on Facebook.
