Default STi Engine/Tranny Mount install?

I was wondering what it takes to install these minor bits...Can the engine just be lifted via engine lift while still connected to the tranny and such. and can the tranny be jacked up with a tranny jack? I won't be doing this myself because i have neither tool...but i was wondering if a shop would install these, and what exactly they would have to do to get them in there.

You can do both with just a floor jack. You need to disconnect the pitching stopper (which you should be replacing with the STi version as well) to lift the engine up.

Undo the pitching stopper. You can jack up the motor via the oilpan if you use a piece of wood to spread the load. Undo the motor mount to subframe nuts and jack up the motor just enough for the studs to clear the crossmember. Swap motor mounts and put back together. For the tranny mount use the jack to support the tranny and drop the tranny crossmember enough to replace the mount.

Scoobymods instructions for the engine mounts here

These are the DIY instructions... if they're going by the Subaru instructions a shop *may* want to pull the engine - which will get pricey of course.

The trans mount is easier and should be obvious once you get under there.

Tranny mounts are a piece of cake. You don't really need a jack for this, as the transmission will not fall on you when you remove the mount. After positioning the new mount, I simply just bench-pressed the transmission into place with one hand and threaded the bolts in with the other.
