I need to compromise...
With payday coming up (expecting 2 fat checks) this friday, i plan on ordering some wheels from subydude (17x8) and need a tire that has good grip while maintaining a decent treadlife. i've also read that 235 is the recommended tire to run on a 17x8 but i've also read that some 225 (falken rt615) tires run as wide as other brand's 235. i would prefer not to roll my fenders but if necessary i would be willing to do so. i am not concerned with rain or snow traction and any input or response is greatly appreciated.

I generally follow this:
7" - 215 7.5" - 225 8" - 235 None of this is set in stone of course. You won't need to roll your fenders for 235's. Any wider and you'll probably need some fender rolling. Tires depend on what your wallet can bare. I really like Bridgestone RE750's. Not as sticky as S03's are Neova's but tread life is pretty darn good and about $50 cheaper per tire. |

check out the Falken FK451. they provide good traction while maintaining a decent treadwear.
