As for the the hill assist, I shut mine off because I had it activate a few times where I wasn't expecting it and I generally just find it intrusive. FYI to turn it off you press and hold the traction off button, the traction off light should turn green then yellow and then go off. When it shuts off quickly press the button again and the hill assist off light should come on. It persists this setting so you don't have to turn it off every time you start the car. Now just if I could have it stay in S# and leave traction and stability off. I've had traction control kick in on an aggressive 1-2 shift and bog the car when I wasn't expecting it, on dry pavement.

I'm still under 300 miles. I've had the car for 3 weeks. I need to go thrash some mountain roads this weekend to start getting my mileage up!

You can certainly still have fun on mountain roads at under 4k RPMs...

So I hate the ****ing hill assist - it has caused me to stall many times because I forget it's there and am letting the clutch out to get going and when it finally releases I have let the clutch out too far and stall... I have noticed in my new 2013 it makes a weird noise too - like when it's engaging or releasing it makes a "friction" type of noise ( don't know how else to describe it ) which is a bit disconcerting. I would love to be able to disable the damn thing. There is a huge difference in exhaust note in this 2013 vs. my 2008 - much deeper and throatier (is that a word?). Go B's! |

The only thing I can suggest is to call the dealer and ask if there is a calibration/adjustment that can be done. Personally it has never been intrusive at all.

i've had the car since thursday, haven't yet felt hill assist. and i've gone on a few hills intentionally to try to get it to kick in, but it hasn't.
i read somewhere in the thread that you can turn it off. it can't be too difficult to do. btw go CHICAGO!!!!! game one under our belt go home boston |

also i love how "throaty" and deep the exhaust sounds. i've got about 300 miles on her so far, and i've pushed her around a few times already. sounds great when boost kicks in, it's pretty smooth too. 2nd and 3rd gear are amazing, they push you back into your seat at 5000 rpm.
gotta get 1000 miles on the car before july 7, trackday at autobahn! |

I get really anxious when I Have to drive in stop and go Boston traffic... I feel like it's a terrible way for the car to be broken in - when I drove it home I was doing a lot of hard pushes up to 4.5k and then engine braking down (per the aggressive breakin procedures) but since then I have only done daily driving with it in moderate to heavy traffic where I cannot really reasonably get the RPMs up - I'm sure I'm worrying over not much but I need to take some time after work late night and go get some real driving in on it - still under 100 miles

My car finally hit port today, at the end of week 15. Hopefully no more than one more, but I figure that would be too easy.
