Sure thing
I also want to share something with everyone who reads this thread. I actually met another photographer last weekend at Formula D named Tram Tran Check his great work out at http://www.tramtran.com. He's a fellow Subaru owner and actually heard about me from this thread, which completely surprised me! One thing he pointed out to me that I want to reiterate to everyone that as much as I love giving advice to people on their photography, it truly is just my advice and opinion, not the gospel truth of photography. I just don't want anyone to misunderstand the purpose of this thread. Just because I personally think a specific way toward photos doesn't mean that everyone here should as well. Everyone has their different styles and I very much encourage everyone to formulate their own...this thread is meant as a guide, not as rules set in stone after all Armin

^wow some great work on tram tran. thanks for the link. And I appreciate your advice even if it is just your opinion. I like to get as many opinions on my shots as possible. helps me think of new ideas and different ways of approaching photographs. your opinions always seem to be beneficial. so thanks again for an AWESOME thread. and to everyone else who provides feedback.

i agree with Shep. so much learned from Armin and other members in here. i really like the styles that each person has. and as shep mentioned it really helps with new ideas, angles, etc.
i think a lot of people try to follow with your style of photos because you know/share so much, and provide us with truely fantastic photos. along with sharing a wide variety of tips that can really make photos amazing. the greatest thing about photography is everyone has their own style. and thats another reason everyone can take awesome photos. |

I have been taking pictures of cars for years, this is a great thread Armin. You do very good work and I love your built in humility. I learned some stuff by reading this. Thank you very much. One more reason I am glad I just bought my 2005 Impreza....it brought me here and I found this...

I think some subtle vignetting would be the icing on the cake for this shot. Great work!

i think i know where you shot that peters canyon?? i took one of my favorite sunset photos there.. only i was shooting towards the sun setting behind the mountain. i like the angle a lot. shot has a nice feel to it with the depth of field. |

i was thinking about using the 70-300 there also. i'd actually like to go back there again some time on a semi cloudy sunset. you can get some amazing shots there. hit me up if you go again

nice photo chris, i just think that the car is a bit too centered, and that sign on the roof is a lil distracting. also if the car was a lil bit more sideways it would be great.
i think i like the others ones you posted in your thread better |

Ya the damn equestrian sign was there but could not really get away from it, also could not put the car too sideways as it was getting really blown out due to the sun going down on that side. I was really trying to just get the depth of field to pull you into the car...But ya like I said it was spur of the moment, next time when I head out there placement will be key. Skim I will let you know when I go, I live like 7 min from there....

here is one of my photos from peters canyon, which i adjusted some details. vibrance, saturation bump, more contrast, and a bit of exposure correction.

I'd crop it a to have a little less foreground (dirt) in the shot to accentuate the sky's color, and to improve the aesthetics. Shots with an off-center horizon are generally more pleasing to the eye. Other than that, I think it's quite a fantastic shot.
Is this an HDR? |

I agree with all of this, but I really do like the framing! It's very creative and works well
