I have them and I love them. I didn't have the time to do a retrofit although I would have liked to. I can tell you that they aren't like cheap TYC crap lights. I'm sure others will disagree but its was nice to plug and play and add 6000k 55w HID's. They are also DOT legal. I was definitely impress with the quality of them and I have no complaints and they are bright as hell. That pic does them no justice so i'll post some pics of mine just for reference for anyone who is looking at them. All I'm saying is that just because they were on ebay doesn't automatically make them junk and some people offer their bad opinions (which is fine with me as I'm not going to argue), but they don't have any way of backing it up. I bought these because I didn't want to blow $600-700 on used jdm's when I'm just as happy with these. Again all my opinion. Anyways enough rambling here are some pics: Out of the box: All lit up: Light output:

Do it Well I'd assume get a electric saw or equivalent. Measure all around then cut and weld together. The problem would be ding the correct glass size. Talk to older hot rod guys. They might be able to help |

Since glass is a ceramic, maybe look into water jetting places or tile cutting places. I have no experience, just shooting ya some ideas. |

this one looks really good with the GR front end. i remembered when i still had the GD front idea has always been floating around my head eversince i dented my rear quarter panels really hard with my roof rack. i know lexan or plexiglass would be easy to do. i just gotta find some hot rot guys for more information |

chan, for our cars it will be much more difficult to get shortened glass as there are complex curves, most old hot rods you see with extreme chop tops will have relatively flat windows (most). the easiest way i could see going about doing it, and especially what you're aiming to use the car for, would be to consider looking into Lexan replacements. then you can also incorporate NACA ducts or whatever else you please.
Theoretically |
