Yup you can use the one that came on JDM STi v8's...bolts right up. You can also buy the Zerosport Twinscroll kit that comes with a PE 1825. Hope this helps. Good luck.

GP Moto has one too that uses a GT32 turbo.

Remember, dont limit yourself to a twin scroll, merely for the opprotunity to say, "Yeah, it's a twin scroll" to your friends. Match your turbo to your needs. While there are some twin scroll options, their "claim to fame" of faster spool many times does not live up to it's legend as many traditional turbos will out-spool them.

^^true. if you want fast spool and better top end numbers, I would go with a 3" inlet FP 20G with alky injection.

I like the thought of an 18G also, but what is the HP gain for $1400 + injectors/pump/tune? 20? 35 maybe? Lot of cash.

Unless you want the biggest power from a GT35R rotated kit the 3 FP 3inch inlet turbos are worth their weight in gold. Just decide what you are looking for and pick the turbo that suits your needs. FP20G-Street/Track FPGreen-Street/Strip FPRed-Strip/kinda street |

Well tuned 3" 20G seems to be the street turbo of choice.

Twin scroll has it's place or the Japanese wouldn't use it on their cars. A properly tuned twin scroll setup will seriously outspool a similar sized single scroll turbo - all other things being equal. Points to consider...
--CP has openly stated a twin scroll uppipe to complete their GT32 kit will out spool the single scroll uppipe config by 700+ RPMs. That's alot on the track... --I've read posts of the GP Moto twin scroll GT32 kit being nearly spooled (15+ PSI on an STi EJ257) by 2800 RPMs. Mind you, this was with the larger 51 lb/min comp wheel option and a huge APS FMIC. The 44 lb/min comp wheel and a TMIC would obviously have spooled even quicker. Think about that for a moment... That's nearly as fast as the quickest spooling VF39 setup I've ever heard of (20+ PSI by 2600 - 2700 RPMs on an STi EJ257). For the twin scroll GT32, that would yield just as good low end as the smaller, quick spooling VF39 with way, way more in the mid range and top end - especially if you have the 51 lb/min comp wheel. Twin scroll is pricey here in the USDM since the parts are rare and the kits are soooo expensive. However, I truly believe these setups would offer the best power curve if proper tuning is utilized. Obviously, they aren't needed for a drag strip setup, but for street/road coarse/autox, twin scroll would be pretty mean... Last edited by SilverSurfer04STi; 11-26-2005 at 07:04 PM. |

I think whoever is interested in a twin scroll isn't interested in absolute power. Twin scroll's are known for their responsiveness which is something I value greatly. I don't need a ton of horsepower but would like amazing response. If that's what you're looking for great, if not they're plenty of other turbo set up's on the market as well

IMO, GT32> FP 20G... for both top end and spoolup. Wasn't there a comparison a while back on here..? |

Check out post #181 in this THREAD... And check out the info in this THREAD at post #10...
PDX Tuning GP Moto Test Results... I think the PDX website is down right now and that's why the dyno charts aren't linked. Alot of this info is on their website too, or it was, not sure if is anymore. Like I said, for the street, road course, or autox, twin scroll would be pretty dang good. I don't know how big the compressor is on that twin scroll Crawford kit.. but for once I can add some quality info. I have an automatic transmission 2.5 litre WRX. Heavily ported heads and Crower Stg II cams with a DeadBolt 20g. I hit 1bar of boost at 2900rpms.. that twin scroll idea in post #10 of that thread is making me drool.

Do you think your ported heads and crower stg II cams have shifted the power curve in either direction? Sounds like your setup is pretty sweet.
What other supporting mods do you have? |

Previously I was running the stock ej257, GP Moto 421 headers, Perrin DP, v7 ported TGVs, DB20g w/ light clip, Hyperflow TMIC, MRT shortram, AVO inlet hose, stock WRX heads and cams. I swear I was hitting full boost by 3300rpm.. there's probably a post written by me last year where I stated it. The following are what's different now.. Axis stage II block, ported heads (out flow the v8), Crower Stg II valvetrain, GReddy UNequal length headers, Ultimate Racing's EWG setup (huge 2" diameter up pipe), Perrin big MAF and turbo inlet. Downpipe, headers, up pipe and hotside of the 20g where coated by Swain. Headers and up pipe are wrapped with Thermotec's Copper wrap. I hit .9 bar by 2800rpm.. the WG is beginning to flutter by .7 bar. It FEELS like the curve has moved to the left.. I don't remember my car spooling this quick last year before the motor blew. It also has some pretty good jump off the line compared to last year. According to those with "Guru" status, cams and head work should move everything to the right.. but my feeling is that the stock cams are such crap that they're hurting performance OFF boost, too. Why else would my car feel healthier with unequal length headers, a huge up pipe, hogged out heads, and higher lift and duration cams? I hope to have dyno logged proof of what my gut has been telling me all along.. cams are more important than the experts think. |

Your setup sounds pretty bad azz!
To answer your question in post #21, I believe the numbers they quoted were with regular GT32 turbos with the 44 lb/min comp wheel. That is almost exactly the same size as the DB20G comp wheel you and I are using. They have bigger exhaust housings though so they would theoretically have a little better top end than us - while spooling quicker. The other thread I linked to (#181) Nativo in PR said he was making 15 psi of boost by 2900 RPMs with the GP Moto twin scroll kit. He had an upgraded 51 lb/min wheel on his GT32 so that would make considerably more top end than a DB20G turbo - while still spooling just as quick, if not quicker. He had a big FMIC too, so that's pretty impressive. |

Not to get too picky, but that was a customer's car, not navito's own. I would LOVE to hear somebody review a gt32 kit after being on thier own car for at least six months. Anyone?
I say this not to be a jerk who is down on GT32 but rather someone who would potentialy buy one if I could find anybody who owns one who can give an in depth analysis. |
