![]() Hey, I just got a job in garden city long island for the summer. I will be commuting from brooklyn to there every morning. Only being a wrx owner for a few months, I've read many threads about our cars getting stolen. It is one of my main concerns where ever I go. Since I am going to be working there (never been to garden city), does anyone know of the the area? Is it safe are to be laeving my beloved wrx unattended for 8 hours a day? If not I may have to convice my mom to let me drive her car to work everyday haha. Any info would help. Thanks!

![]() Safe neighborhood...especially compared to brooklyn....
Are you gonna be parking in a lot? I'd be more worried about door dings than the car getting stolen... |

![]() Regardless of where you park, you could get your car stolen. Just a fact of life.
I personally wouldnt be too worried about parking in garden city, pretty safe. Definatley agree w/ Magnum626, worry about door dings, way too many careless people out there. |

![]() i work a town over from Garden City. it is really safe. they have their own police who have nuttin better to do than patrol everything a million times a day and pull over anyone who isn't from Garden City. It's like a clan or something....joke. it is just a very close neighborhood where the cops know all the residents. just to repeat, u have nuttin to worry about except dings.

![]() You'll be fine driving the Rex, besides you want to drive your mom's car after some new co-worker asks to go out for a couple of drinks after work?

![]() There are so many WRXs parked in office parking lots everywhere. I wouldn't worry unless you have an STI.
