Unhappy Is my used wheel worthless?

So... my 2011 WRX's wheel fell off. Whether it's because someone jacked my lug nuts or I ****ed up badly enough swapping out of my winter wheels that all the nuts worked their way loose is still up for debate, but the end result is that, driving around town under 20mph, trying to diagnose an odd "thump, thump, thump" that had recently arisen, there was a sudden jolt and clang and I immediately stopped the car to see what happened. It was my rear drivers' side wheel. The car landed on the wheel, never hitting the ground, and the wheel probably rotated twice or three times before I came to a stop. There's a scraped up ring on the inside of the wheel, where the rear knuckle thing landed on it while it was turning, and there's noticeable damage around the lug nut seats.

I immediately purchased a replacement, not trusting that the event didn't affect the safety of the wheel, but now I have an extra tireless wheel kicking around that I don't know what to do with.

Should I toss it in the trash, or does it have any value to someone more well-versed than I in car stuff? Does anyone here want it? I'm really just trying to get it out of my tiny apartment that has no place to store something like a wheel! I can post pics if there's any interest.

Obviously it's hard to say without pictures. It may be repairable, but chances are you're not going to find anyone who wants to pay you much money for a wheel that may be repairable.

I'd find a metal scrap recycler and go get a couple/few bucks for the aluminum.
