Gear Ratios
What gear ratio is in a MY00? What other ratios are available? Thanks for any help.

hey, i don't know them offhand... but it is in the owners manual, and if you don't own one, either you could do a search here, or find someone's personal web-page, and lots of people have it listed there.

If it's an automatic..the final is 4.44

Thanks, but are there any other final drive ratios available? Right now my car just has an intake and exhaust and I can almost wind 5th gear completely out(5900 rpm). If I put on a turbo(50+ hp) I will definitely run out of gear.

Yes there is other trannies that fit, depending on how cute you want to get with it.
The most likely one you would want is the legacy double overdrive unit. If you want to play with 1/2 shafts and possibly driveshafts you can select from a Huge array of trannies including the 85+ 4wd 5spds. I would stick to the 99+ trannies though as it should not require any modification. |

Is there no way to actually change the gear on the diffs?
