Type RA trans blowing motors?
I bought a transmission from a local guy who blew 2 EJ motors while using a V6 JDM type RA transmission. both engines were EJ207s. Is there a reason why he was blowing up engines? Does this result from the transmission's short ratios keeping higher revs and more load? Really curious to know how notorious can a JDM RA transmission be. Any input is appreciated. thanks

Describe what is meant by 'more load'? |

Im guessing the previous owner spent all his money on the transmission and couldnt afford motor oil.
If anything, shorter gears are less stress on a motor because the motor is loaded for less time in any given gear. |

Engines blow transmissions, transmissions don't blow engines unless the driver shifts like an idiot.

Thanks! rest assured that i will not have to worry about blowing my EJ255 then. I really like the results of this transmission and was hoping that I wouldn't need to build the engine for this matter.
