As i posted in the first snow post, While driving around in some deeper snow, I threw a CEL, flashing CEL and was in a limp mode.
I pulled the code today and it found only 1, P0103 (MAF or VAF Circuit High input) I pulled out the MAF and it was dripping with water. The whole intake was wet, the filter was saturated etc. Could be the silencer delete elbow, Ill have to check into it. Just though I would warn you all about the water ingestion issues.

Ok, no need to worry, my water in the intake problem was not a Subaru issue. Turns out after my car was repaired at the body shop 8,000 miles ago, They never put the air box lid on correctly. So the tabs were never seated and as snow built up and melted, it leaked in, introducing quite a bit of water into the airbox.
After drying out the MAF sensor, air box and intake tube, and replaceing the air filter, everything works fine and no more CELs. Just can't trust people these days... Now my only concern is how much dirt have I been running through the engine during those 8k miles... |
