Default coilover question-ride height adjustment-please help

i have tein flex coilovers...i know this has been covered, but i still dont understand how the whole body of the coilover moves to adjust ride height??? idk if thats right, but that is what ive read. so im wondering how to adjust my ride height, i already have the lower ring loosened.

loosen lowermost ring.

take the bottom of the two rings locked together for spring preload and turn it to the right to raise the car.

take the upper ring of the two locked rings and turn it to the left to lower the car.

then re-lock the lowermost ring again.
