I know it is pretty early but I figured I would start the thread since the date has been announced.

If I can go this year I think I'm going to drive down on the Saturday as it is being held at Portland International Raceways.

Who's down for going this year?

Was pretty bunk last year... Have they secured a better venue, more food carts, and possibly some more vendors?

Not sure if I want to risk it with that ferry again lol. Getting home at 5:30 am was rough! We will have to check when the last Tsawwassen ferry run is, although I'm sure the times will be different for the Nanaimo sailing versus Victoria.

I think typically the 9pm is the last mainland ferry from tswassen
it looks like you have a 10:45 option to duke point

I will probably be working the saturday before, so I might be on a later ferry - the 5pm is my goal, then drive down as much as possible before probably grabbing a hotel.
If anyone is doing something similar we can book rooms at the same hotel, I can always meet up there if im coming in late

It is roughly 500km's!

that was a sketchy ferry ride back, but I dont think its often that happens
what an adventure.

I'll be working the Saturday before the meet and hopefully will be heading down by 5pm.

I'm not sure if I'll drive the entire distance on Saturday but if anyone is heading down Sat evening we should try to do it together and if possible meet up with Andrew.

Unless they need me to pick up talent from Seattle ...hmmm

Nice!
I had a blast last year.
If you are put in run group B like we were last year, use the time to go check out the show.
We didn't finish until right before they gave away the car show awards and the event ended right after.
I hardly got to check out the show.

Sounds like the issues from last year have been addressed/fixed

Ryan,

I am not able to go, it's to far for me this year. They way I would want to do it I would have to find someone to watch the kids & pay for a hotel. Just not worth it right now.
