No rear race pads from Hawk so once we verify shape I will hit them up

Carbotech and GLoc for now

Might be some JDM goodness since it's the IS-F pad

Ahhhh, "the amg". That's helpful, since there has been only a single AMG model and it was only sold in a single model year.

You realize that AMG isn't a specific model, right? On Mercedes-AMG's website there are 52 AMGs, covering the full range from the A-class up to the G-wagen. So, no, that doesn't narrow it down for me.

Some of then were black. And some had 2 doors and some were sedans. Hope this helps.

Here is the writeup I did comparing Brembo GT 6 piston brakes vs. 6 piston Brembo from a RA-R. I have no idea what the 2018 specs are but I can only assume they are similar if not identical to the JDM RA-R Brembos.

We listed them a while ago.

The issue is the rotors. Subaru only, drilled, and very expensive.

ENDLESS MX72 front pads fit and available. Rears are in productions.

Pricey but a LOT of initial bite and no squeaking. Good for novice or intermediate track day. Only squeal after 30 minutes on a back road, then once it kools down no sqeal. love this compound. Had it on Essex AP kit on BRZ, Had it on 15 WRX with AP kit. Had on my Cayman S. Reminds me of Brembo TS20 pad or Pagid Blue 4-2-1 pads.

Very impressive pad( as it should be)

But pricey.

Just by curiosity does 18 sti calipers have the bolt seize problems like the previous years? My neighbor 15 sti had the rear bolt seize problem and snapped the bolt and stuck! Now he has to drill it out and use helicoil. I've just pick up my 18 sti couple months ago, now wondering should I try to break them all loose and put copper antiseize on them before the heat start baking on them?

Front pad is from Lexus RFA- OEM part number is 04465 0W120. BTW, if you can't stand the dust TRW makes a terrific low dust/no noise ceramic pad.

This is quite old, but I just changed my discs yesterday and noticed what looks like steel inserts in the front calipers, instead of threading directly in the aluminum. Also there was lots of copper anti seize there. I kind of doubt it came from factory with the anti seize , I suspect the dealer took them off to have a peak at the new brakes, and put anti seize? my car is a 2018 bough in July 2017 so one of the early ones. There was also a couple chips on the caliper paint here and there when it was brand new, so it definitely looked like someone messed with them.

Anyways, does this looks like steel inserts to you too? First pic you can clearly see what looks like an insert. Second pic is of the other side of the caliper. It was still quite tight when undoing one of the lower bolts, even with all that anti seize and after the lock washer was decompressed, so I'm not sure if the insert will really help long term, maybe the insert itself at some point could rip off the caliper if the screw becomes rusted in there? Car has 53k miles.
