good junk yard in MA?
Hi,
I'm trying to find a tail light for my 1990 Legacy sedan. I think some stupid snow plow backed into it a few weeks ago in my apartment's parking lot...of course they won't admit anything. Do any of you know of a good junk yard in the vicinity of Arlington or Bedford, MA? If not , anything in eastern MA in general? I might just order a new one from Lisa at Troncalli, but I'd rather find something much cheaper. Thanks!!!

ABC in Leominster is pretty large, I haven't checked their Subaru selection but they always had Corrado parts when I was looking, and that was a pretty rare car. HTH

There is in fact a junk yard in Billerica Named Hollands. If you go Rt3 North to the Trebble Cove RD exit. At the bottom turn left and go for about 1/4 mile and you will see it on the left. If you want, or need help, just let me know.

Come to think of it there is a junk yard right in Lexington. I believe it is on the same road as that driving range/pitch and putt thing, but who knows. Thats maybe something you might want to check out.

I just called the places you guys mentioned and a couple of others. No one seems to have a Subaru Legacy.
I guess I'll just buy the new one. Thanks for your help guys! |

The one over in Lexington is Carolls. Don't go there. They are nasty people. Go to Hollands. Much better.

If time isn't an issue, look on the web.
I found this place in Colorado(WaC might actually have the number), they only deal with Subaru's. New and used parts. I got lateral links that the dealer wanted over $150 for $30 shipped. I believe Wayne bought rear disc brake hubs from them. It's called Superu or something like that. |

I just filled out the parts request form Super-Rupair. I don't know if that's the place you are talking about.
Although it looked a little bit questionable when my only choices for Engine Type were: Carbonated Turbo SPFI Since my engine is not a turbo, and it's not made by Perrier, I just chose SPFI. I guess it doesn't matter if I just need a tail light. |

heh. That's a rather amusing word mixup if I ever saw one. carbonated?!?
SPFI is sort of correct, I think. "FI" means fuel injection, I bet. But I suspect "SP" means single-point (one big injector in the intake manifold), and the newer Subaru engines are "MP" - multi-point (one injector per cylinder). Doesn't matter, I think. -Edwin |

Yup,
That's the place. They'll send you an email with a phone number. You call them up and talk to the guy. They may even give you a quote. They actually charged me less that what they quoted me. |

Well, I placed an order with Super Rupair. They seemed pretty nice when I called them and they didn't ask me if my engine was "carbonated" or not, so that's a good sign. The price was pretty decent too.
I should get the part by monday, so we'll see how good these guys are. |
