wow, you lucky SOB!

Cyclops needs some V8 heads. we were just talking about that today. If not the V8 heads, we'll do the CNC porting and custom cam grinds on a set of EJ205 heads.

Yeah I've been looking around for a set of 2.0 heads with AVCS. They aren't so cheap. I've also been reading that USDM AVCS cams won't fit JDM AVCS heads. Need to figure that one out still.

Good luck with everything..

Yep, it's the difference in the cam sensor pickups meaning it effects both fitment and running. It's dips vs bumps.

As I remember it (based on my heads) that the JDM ones have dips and the USA ones have bumps. I have USA Cams in JDM heads and had to remove and block off the AVCS cam sensor holes as the sensors would poke through and hit the cams themselves.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone make JDM AVCS cams? At the biggest I'd be looking at a 272 but Dominic was saying probably more like a 264 to really get to use the AVCS or in his RS he runs a 272/264 split. I think if it's going to be too much of a pain in the ass I'll ditch the AVCS and just run bigger cams and get more top end. Then I can just get the ej205 heads CNC'd and bigger valves and big cams and probably get a bit more out of them than the ej207 heads.

i have been thinkging about the 272/264, seems to be a great spit, and im not 100% sure who makes them but i saw them, also the jdm and usdm avcs use diff sensors, you can used usdm cams if you used usdm sensor and flow cap piece i believe, i was looking it up last night

The new MPS RS is soooo nice. I went up today. I got some ej205 heads today, decided no go on the AVCS. Got some CAMS so I'm going to get Delta to make me some regrinds. I got to check out the billet crank and the rods going in, too. Everything looks great. The project is finally getting going for real. Pistons will be ordered next!
