btw i had a nice conversation with the boise drift guys, met david (again) and we had a couple ideas to toss to you guys:

having local meets at the drift events? show some support for local motorsports, get the fact that its a subaru meet announced at the event, have a good time while doing something interesting?

could also carpool to some of the drift events outside the local area, save on gas but still have nice get together?

would be pretty cool to have a bunch of subarus show up in support of andrew too!

Yeah that would be an awesome idea. The last drift event was at magic valley speedway in twin falls right? I'm down for that, that's my old stomping grounds.

I've been thinking about selling my STi wheels, but two of them have curb marks, but they aren't that deep. What do you guys think I could get for them? If I can't get much then I'm just going to keep them...

here's a pic of one of the wheels with the curb marks...

I hear a lot aboutt deeda too. Need to hit him up.

I think the drift events would be sick. I'm from east idaho and the best they have over there is 100ft drags haha. All the ims guys come down here for firebird. So I'm pretty stoked for meets, drags, autox and drift. Be sure to keep me in the know.

Yes, DJ (s/n Deeda), owner of Motametals, is doing a lot of great PC work for local tuners. I've seen some of the results and he really seems to take pride in his work.

Here's a link to some of what he's done: http://www.idahomotorsports.com/foru...play.php?f=149

^^^ There's the spark plug spacer trick. And there's also the "resistor mod". Heard of either one?

I've heard of the spacer I think. It's not that there is a reading issue or the sensors broken. It's that the first owner (I'd assume ray wouldn't do this) cut the wires off the top of the sensor. So without buying an entire new one I cant hard wire them or anything. So I plan on buying an AP but I don't have the money now. Borrowed a cable but can't get my car to connect. Want to get the sensor deleted so the CEL will go away. I have emissions coming up and I'm told the car in "safe" mode runs rich. So naturally I don't get the BEST gas mileage and I plan on traveling to Seattle in 3 weeks, kinda want to get decent mileage haha. Any help appreciated

Well the resistor-mod involves putting a resistor of the appropriate resistance in line with the sensor wires. So it's possible that if you soldered the right ohm resistor between the two wires, it wouldn't throw the code anymore. On my car, it's a 1/2 Watt 22K ohm resistor, and I have some leftover from the pack I bought. You're welcome to come get one and try it. Maybe just twist one in, reset ECU, and try it. If it works, then solder it. I just don't know if your rex is the same as my Legacy.

Hmm I've never heard of it. Crazy what wiring can do. I'll have to steal one from you and try it.
