Most definitely a circus race and more contact (and hence retirements) than I would like.

Enjoyable race though.

Brainfart move by VET, no need for him to have done that, should have waited for the DRS a couple of laps later, especially given that he had eliminated the HAM threat.

Sucks for BOT.

VES needs a stern talking to. RBR also needs to figure their **** out.

Safety car shenanigans once again

Gross jeans Ericsson hit us

Disappointed in Red Bull. Surprised at Renault, though. They looked good.

Poor Bottas.

Leclerc though, awesome drive

I wanted to see Hami vs Bottas for the last few laps (after Vettel politely got out of the way), same age tires so it should have all been down to driver. I don't think Hami had an answer today.

Ver-Ric is looking like 2016 Ham-Ros.
Can't see Ric staying past 2018 at Redbull.
He's going either Mercedes or Ferrari.
Sains will be recalled to Redbull.

Pretty much, also VET - WEB.

Agreed, RBR has not shown RIC the love he deserves and I'm guessing its down to Helmut Marko love with VES.

Doubt he will go to Mercedes. Maybe if HAM retires, but I doubt Mercedes will not retain BOT.

Ferrari looks like the target team. RAI while great, is getting old and may be shown the door.

Renaults looked good! And I'll say that while VER is a damn good overtaker, I think his youth shows when he oversteps. He looks brilliant, and then more brilliant, and then whoops! If he can just pull it back a bit, he'd be a monster on track without all the controversy.

Hulkenburg looked good too, until he me the wall.

Good drive for Kimi - from 12th early in the race to a podium! Proves that it pays just to be fast enough and stay out of trouble.

Overall, I like the races there. I don't generally like street circuits, but because of all the straights, there are a lot of opportunities for drafting/passing. Safety car helped, but that was an exciting race!

Whatever Bottas hit exploded into sparks. I can only imagine how much pressure is on thay contact patch at 300+km/h

I thought the race was exciting! Crashes and safety cars, give more!

I love VES but damn, I was rooting for RIC to pass him after all those failed attempts earlier.

Some info about Grosjean's crash:

^^^ That is a properly weak excuse. What a boneheaded move. Between this and Magnussen's aggressive wandering/blocking on the main straight, Haas doesn't have a lot of talent IMO.

Maybe I've missed it, but haven't seen the Ferrari's garage filled with start up smoke lately?

so F1 changed post race stuff... no more cool down room with the podium dudes and no interviews on the podium. They are interviewing the drivers right after they get out of the car and that's it. I watched on ESPN and they showed that little bit. It sucks.
