Default 2001 Forester with 4speed auto diff lock

Good Morning,

I was looking at some youtube videos for offroading the Forester. The guy had the same year model as me, and I saw that he wired up a Diff lock switch to manually lock it before climbing up.

I tried going into the forums linked in the video but it seems like some of the links are dead or require sign in.

switch mod at 6:33

Has anyone else done this? I am not an expert at wiring anything up. I would really like to get this wired up soon.

thank you
