Just A couple teasers got the car back for the weekend before the interior gets redone and decided to redo the brakes. Needless to say it took a while under the rain.

I'm in no way a photographer and I sure as hell would like one to shoot my car.

Here it is as it sits today,

The front Bumper is going to be repainted as it didn't match the color of the car. The interior is going to be done next Monday.

Here we are:

This is a 10 year old car that I never thought I'd fall in love with. I drove an S/C Eclipse for 3 years and I can't even compare the driving experience. The eclipse felt loose and I didn't feel in touch with the road. Where as this is brutally true to the Subaru reputation. An incredibly fun car to drive, very in touch with the road.

Am I wrong or is it just red and not Sedona Red Pearl still?

It has a gold pearl to it, but I can't make justice to the color and get a good shot.

My skill set is lacking when it comes to photography.

As mentioned previously, I had a leak from a broke front window. The previous owner probably knew about it but hadn't gotten it fixed. The water was accumulating under the carpet and obviously causing rust. Also the sunroof drain was clogged adding to the window issue.

I had the drain unclogged when the car was painted. However, the bodyshop (although I paid for it) did not fix the floor of the car on the driver side. Granted they did close the 1mm whole that had formed.

So having an afternoon on my hand and having done a bit of research on the interwebs I decided to go ahead and fix it myself.

Note I didn't care what it would look like, because the carpet would cover the flooring.

This is the damage:

Step 1) Buy Primer Paint and Anti-Rust Paint + Small Grinder + Grinding Paper (150 Grit should do the job)

Step 2) Use Grinder and grind the hell out of the floor. Try to remove as much rust as you can

Step 3) Lay down a coat of primer and let dry for 10 minutes. Do this about 4 times and for the last coat let it dry for about 2 hours

Step 4) Paint with anti-rust brush paint (don't use cans you will make a mess), same as step 3. 4 Coats

Step 5) Let dry and put down grease

The white film is grease. The wholes were filled with it to prevent further rusting.

I also went around the other door wells and filled the doors with grease.

I took out the seats, Superposs got me thinking. Tried to see if there was much rust under the carpet from the initial window leak and found this:

So I went about sanding it down to the bare metal. Put down 3 coats of white primer and then 4 coats of red anti-rust paint.

I'm waiting for it to dry, so I can grease it up, before putting back the carpet and seats. However, the carpet isn't in the best of states, I'm wondering if I should shug it out and buy a new carpet..

Here is the final product,
