There have been numerous built EG33 engines. Supertech was doing parts for the valvetrain before. Delta was doing their own custom stuff. Web also does grinds for them. If you go with modern EJ valves, the stems are longer. So depending on lash caps and all, you'll work backwards and can grind the cams to change the base circle to compensate.

Port work is port work. Nothing crazy there.

Rods, run EJ rods. Pistons, order pistons. I wouldn't bother hunting down crappy old EJ22T pistons if you're going this far in.

Honestly, for low power like this thread is talking about, I'd just refresh the engine, toss in STi rods, ARP headstuds, and run low boost on a 60-70 lb/min turbo. Borg Warner's have good compressor maps for lower PR set ups.
