Powder Coating Wheels

I could not get the gold wheels, so I am considering powder coating the silver ones either black or a darker gunmetal color. Anyone do this yet or see a reason not to?

Anyone know how much do powder coating cost per wheel?

My local shop charged me $300 for 4 wheels, 16 inches.

My shop is about $50 a wheel. I might go with a gunmetal in the future. They have hundreds of colors available

just a question, but why don't you powder coat them gold?

And to add some info, I had some rotas powdercoated a few years ago and it cost me ~220 total for them to be chemically stripped and powder coated flat black.
