Default Need help with Cusco pillowball mounts

I just picked up some Cusco rear pillowball mounts for my '02 wagon. According to CVR's website, they're suppose to fit all years of WRX and STi. I also bought '04 SPT pink springs, but that's not really important . . .

The problem is that, unlike the stock top mount, there's nothing in the Cusco piece to retain the spring. Was there another part I was supposed to get? If so, shouldn't the website indicate that? I did some searching, and I found one thread where someone didn't use anything (this sounds dubious), and another where someone used a spacer and/or separate spring retainer (e.g., Noltec), neither of which I can find online.
