Don't know if it was mentioned yet but the MadDad Whisper for the sedan should be out by the "holidays"!

Nice! You're welcome man. Hope you're loving it as much as I am!

I haven't heard any issues lately. I think it was probably an isolated batch.

For the hatch, I paid somewhere between $525-$550 shipped. Don't know what the sedan versions are selling at.

I had a rattle in my single exit TXS exhaust. I contacted them and they shippednme a new axle back. The rattle didn't come back but I traded in my wrx not to long after that.

wow great price
Looks nice but out bothers me that the exhaust favors the passenger side and doesn't flow equally...or close to it

How can exhaust exit the right tip with a split like that?

ARK GRiP Exhaust Review (08+ STI and 11+ WRX Hatchback)

I just installed this system onto my car last night. Here are some photos and video. I will have more info up soon here:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2427954

And here's a quick video:

You can see that nearly all of the exhaust flows out of the passenger side at idle. But under load, exhaust does flow out of both sides (but probably not quite equally). The exhaust uses dual Helmholtz resonators and they really do seem to work. The exhaust is very quiet at idle and low RPM's but has a good tone at WOT. I will have more info up later.

What a coincidence. You went from ARK to Greddy and I went from Greddy to ARK.

It looks amazing. How does it sound inside? I got a little one and can't have it loud in the cabin.

Only issue with it is the price, damn its expensive

Very quiet inside. Quietest cat back I've had, other than stock. I agree that the price is a bit steep.

With the EL headers it is very, very similar to stock at warm idle and cruising. Cold idle and WOT is a bit louder, but not too bad. I'm guessing it would be similar with the stock or other UEL headers, but I don't know for sure.

Looks great man. I'm def. a fan of keeping the quad look vs. the single exit. Def. looks like you get what you pay for with this.... I want it but the $1k+ price tag on it is crazy. I might have missed this, but do you have the weight specs on it? I'm still debating on my exhaust for my SEDAN, and Ark has always been something I have looked at, but I just can't get over how expensive it is

The price really isn't too out of line for what you're getting. It actually has quite a bit of design and testing into making it have no drone. Most other systems are just designed to fit onto the car and then they start selling them. Unfortunately all the extra work to make it have no drone also make it quite heavy. It actually weighs a few pounds more than the stock one. I guess that's the price you pay for a quiet, nice sounding exhaust that also has good flow (ie. 3" piping and straight through mufflers).

I believe when it was shipped to me, it was around 63-65 pounds. I can't really remember though at this point.

The price was much cheaper when I bought it as well, since it was when they first were released (roughly $1100-$1200, shipped). I think they put them on sale for less than their current "sale" price. I doubt they have ever listed them at full price on their website either.

Research Cobb exhaust for tbe 11+ sedans... They even had video clips a year ago. The REAL issue is that Cobb outsources the exhausts and the fit tolerances are extremely tight. Which is probably why Subaru recessed the tips on the sedans for no reason. However, until Cobb finishes funding their STi projects behind all of the frs/brz, gtr, kia projects we wont see a cbe from them.

Oh yeah we are taking about maddad. I read and even posted on their thread. testing doesn't imply that they are close to production.
