I'd say there are at least 25 out there that do.

And I don't think they need to be Subaru fanboys specifically, I'm sure there's more than 25 UK rally fans who grew up watching Colin McCrae and Richard Burns winning and have the $$$$ to spend on this resto-mod Prodrive.

in the current car market most will likely just get swept up by car collectors, to be rarely driven.

I'm thinking of legit former WRC cars now, and while those cars have doubled or tripled in price just like classic 80s/90s Japanese cars have, might still be less than the Prodrive P25. So while I'm still a fan of them building this, it was sobering to realize.

I bet this would go for almost double now, but in 2017 an S4 Impreza WRC that Colin drove sold for 230,000 British pounds.
https://www.topgear.com/car-news/mot...-sold-ps230000

And, for a little bit more (if 110,000 quantifies as a little bit) than the P25, one could have purchased Richard Burns Rally GB-winning car from 2000. Though I'm sure the driver and race win gave it a good price bump.
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/...-ex-burns-reid
Co-driver Robert Reid said this car was sold to a collector before it finished the race, so it was quickly taken away not long after they crossed the finish of the final stage with headsets, maps, and energy bars still inside.

Those winning rally racing cars have historical value, they’ll be significant while we are still alive. We remember watching those cars win, they probably won’t be as significant to following generations.

Technically: I agree.

Aesthetically: I disagree.

Not dual exhaust (I hope), dual tips at the end of a single pipe.

Oh lord, do I agree! Did the GC ever come with a dual-tip from Subaru? If not, then why does Prodrive have a hard-on for it?

I wrote this program off the moment I read they were only building 25. Shame on me for having a shred of hope I'd be able to buy one (and especially since the GRC will be very limited as well).

I remember them - a time when there were hardly any mods for the 2.5RS. Can't remember the name, but there was a supercharger kit. Was it Minnam Racing or something like that?

I emailed prodrive long ago when I first heard about it, and just did again last weekend and have yet to hear back. Hoping I can buy one.

Are they sending these to the US? I'm guessing not?

They won’t respond to me. Next step is I call them. Wish I had more time during the day to do that.

Even if they don’t decide to officially sell them here, they’ll be legal as they’re going to be considered “kit” cars OR they’ll be making them using doner GC chassis cars,
