Default Will they rub? 16x7 +40 Wheels & 205/55R16 Tires

I really want to get the 16x7 +40 Rota Slipstreams and wrap them in 205/55R16 iPikes. The springs that I'm going to be running are 04 - 07 USDM STI springs. This is on my 2000 GC8 BTW. Will they fit? I have searched and have come across people saying that +40 is too low... what about if the fenders are rolled? And the stock wheel size is 16x6.5 +53 right?

I would highly doubt that any 16 with a 205 is gonna touch your fender.....I would be more worried about catching the fender wells on a hard turn and possibly hitting the shock

Ok that's what I was thinking. Just wanted to make sure. I heard people to say to stay away from +45 and lower on a GC8. Probably not that big of a deal since the wheels are only 7" wide.

Do you know if the stock wheels are 16x6.5 +55?

If so then the 16x7 +40 will stick out an extra 28mm ~ 1 inch.

The stock GC RS wheels are 16x7 +53 (I'm 99% on the offset, but the other stuff is correct).

Why not just buy the Rotas in +48?

Because +48 isn't cool enough haha. I just wanted to make sure that the +40 fit, if they didn't then I would go with +48. Just trying to get the wheels as flush as I can without rubbing.
