Default 2005 STi Jewel Eye Retrofit?

I was just wondering if anyone has seen this retrofit before? Or maybe someone who's good at Photoshop could edit a blobeye Subaru to have Acura's Jewel Eye headlights? I've been seeing this retrofit more and more on the newer Subaru's but never on anything before the 08-14 or 15+ I'm very interested in it, and I just want to have an idea of how it would look like. I haven't been able to find any pictures on google. Here are some pics of the retrofit on newer Subaru's. I've even seen it done on a Evo 8. They seem to fit really well, but then again I think it might be because the headlights on these cars have a better shape overall for them. They're more slim, and longer than the fatter and shorter blobeye, so I'm unsure as to whether or not it would even look good, beyond that fact that it might not even physically fit inside the housing.

First photo is 100% photoshopped, the other two are legit.

It's a cool mod, I'd like to see it done more.

It might look cool but the output from those jewels are crap compared to properly retrofitted lamps using HID projectors. Don't ask me how I know, I just do.

Also, trying to align the jewel pods would be a PITA.

So if I'm trying to increase my light output, which projectors which you recommend? I have the factory HIDs on the 05 sti, but I tinted my headlights, and now my lights are nowhere near bright enough, which is why I started looking into retrofits in the first place. I hardly ever drive my car in the night, but I'd still like to get brighter lights just in case. Thanks

Morimoto D2s 4.0, or the smaller morimoto mini h1 would be good. I think the 05ís have a pretty big reflector low beam bowl so the d2s should fit. Paired with some oem osram bulbs and it will be super bright, but the tint will restrict the light a little,

Maybe start by removing the tint.

I RARELY ever drive the car at night, so I'm not looking to remove the tint, instead I'll look more into the Morimoto d2s set up. Does it make a difference with the wiring if I have the factory HIDs? Or would it hook right up, other than retrofitting the projector of course

Iím not sure, if the connections between the morimoto mini d2s bulb and oem sti ballast are the same (which I assume) then it should hook right up. If not you would need an adapter of some sort or to just get upgraded ballasts.

The 2005 STI should have a D2S connector. The D2S Morimoto kit will have a D2S connector. It should be brighter but you want to waste 200+ (with new bulbs) and crack open the headlights so you can see better with tinted headlights at night?

Better idea and same look. Bake your headlights and retrofit the projectors but paint the reflector bowl, shroud and anything chrome BLACK. Done.

So the color of the reflector bowl doesn't change the light output at all? Like if I were to paint everything black on the inside? Ive already baked them before to remove the amber and paint the bezels black, but I left anything reflective/chrome completely alone
