Shortest route would be to Tee in to the coolant feed/return lines for the turbo, but I don't like the thought of using those lines in case they start a leak. I like the throttle body lines idea better. |

Yeah I would rather have the tb lines blow before turbo lines. Seems like a lot of overkill for virtually no performance gain.
I can see the benefits if a car was dedicated track car. Still look for a write up curious to see how people are routing them. |

Could also use the return line from the reservoir that goes to the radiator. And daisy chain from one to the other or just tee before and after.
I have dual mvr on mine and I agree with posts above about it being overkill, and more for a track car. Where mine are on the car it would be hard to plumb because it is on the front right corner of motor below the power steering tank. |

Rob, Aron, and Levon, what spring pressure are you running in your gates, and what's your target boost?
Edit: I had mine set up with 19lbs worth of spring. Took the car out last night and it only opened for about 200rpm near 5000rpm in second and third gear. Took it out again just now and the wastegate didn't even open in first and I hit fuel cut (which is set at about 25psi relative). So, I'll be stepping down spring weight, but I'm not sure how low I should go? I also had a couple questions about the wastegate installation. You guys have my number, so if one of you would give me a call that would be awesome. I'm assuming I have an leak somewhere because the turbo takes til about 5k to hit full boost now, and seems to taper of pretty quickly. I know the headers will make me lose spool, but deleting the TGV assemblies and running the EWG should have nullified that loss... Hopefully it just needs to be tuned. That is probably better than me trying to go just under my peak desired boost, but if my 19psi spring combo isn't actually opening the gate until 25~psi, I think I'll do around a .9 or 1 bar setup. Thanks Louis.

Mine is 16psi. Decent rule of thumb is half of target, but you found your issue anyway.

Anybody interested in (4) Stock WRX 235/45/17 Dunlop SP Sport 01s? Have about 7500 Miles on em all of them still in really good shape. Threw Blizzaks on for the winter then going bigger come Spring. Would rather sell them local.

The rule of thumb i gave was for a maximum spread, obviously im not running 32psi w/ electric control but I also don't want it cracking at low levels.
Just wanted to clarify. And yeah I was expecting it to roar too, and I think between the fact I don't care about the noise because it is foot regulated and the fact I'm only spinning to 4500 right now. I was kinda disappointed |

are you running a hybird boost controller? i have to agree with you, its not as loud as i thought it would be either. I guess it might be diff if you have a quite exhaust..

Yeah, it's a hybrid setup using a GM EBCS and a Hallman Pro. Right now my WGDC is at zero, and the manual is backed all the way off so I'm just running spring pressure.

No, I was really looking forward to some MickeyD's rootbeer, but they didn't have their lunch menu up yet.
I rolled by your shop looking to see if I could give you a EWG blast, but apparently you guys are playing hooky today? |
