will 08 sti brakes work on a 06 sti?
will 08 sti rear calipers and rotors work/fit on an 06 sti? the caliper is deff bigger an i believe the rotor is also. has anyone done this or made it work? thanks

Ummm...I don't think the caliper is any different on the '08 vs. the '06. Just different color, and maybe differnt piston size.

are you guys sure about that. because my friend has a set and they look huge compared to mine on my 06. the rotors are deff bigger, not by much but they are bigger.

The rears wont work. the fronts fit.

The fronts are the same -
the rears are not - and I would like to produce a kit to get something on the 08 WRX |

it wouldn't surprise me if you could just re-drill the rear rotors and use them on an 08 wrx.

oh well, ive been contiplating powder coating my calipers. and if the 08 rears whould have worked, i was going to just swap them w/ a buddy. thanks for the info guys

I read what the user on 3GWRX did.
I personally don't think I would machine 0.150" off the caliper tabs but that's his call. From comparing old STi rear rotors to the new 08 ones - I would be fairly certain that the 08 STi brakes would bolt on a 08 WRX straight up. Probably not news to all but.... Getting the 08 stuff on an 06 might be basically impossible or not worth the effort when the GD rear Brembo's are rather easy. |

So you're saying that the rotors from a GR should bolt on and eliminate the need to do any of the machining that the guy did?
Only problem I see is the 5x114 vs the 5x100... |
