Default Swaping an MY05 STi engine into an MY06 or MY07 STi and vice versa.

Is there any differences between the 05, 06 and 07 sensor/engine harness wise? Im offering up my engine for a swap for a bone stock one and I was just wanting to make sure everything is the same. I know the ECU's are not the same. And I know they changed a few things like the 07 has a different vf series turbo but other than that I believe the engine harness and the sensors are all the same.

Thanks, Brett

Just noticed that the MY07 STi has top feed injectors. Do they have the same impedance as side feeds? Because everything is getting swapped straight across.

pretty much not compatible at all with an 07... i think i mentioned this in your thread a while back?
all of the wiring has been chagned... it would be a lot of effort to swap it all over, especially doing 2 cars.
3 guys worked on my swap for two weeks straight... and a lot of people said that was a pretty quick turnaround.

Well STi swap into a wrx isnt fun anyways.

But for an 05 into an 07 and an 07 into an 05 cant you just swap the sensors and harness over? I mean it is the same exact motor and heads. An ej257 is an ej257 right?

we dropped in a 07 EJ257 into a 03 wrx, everything works, car runs, did it in two days....only problem we having is trying to figure out how to get the cam position sensor to read the cam on the 07 motor....We got the gruppe s adapter for the sensor, but it still throws the code..

Did you change whole harness? or make the WRX harness work on the STI motor?
How you make Variable Timing solenoids work?
there is two cam sensors on EJ257 right?
So, I'm very interesting how you make wiring work!
Thanks in advance, Mike

I believe 06-07 E257 has two Cam sensors on the back of the engine, so are you did the special harness for AVCS?
What about gas pedal and Drive By Wire crap, and how you make this work?
