^the image of my turbo and that metal plate attached to my intercooler has a hole, but it has nothing on it. A metal line standingg up with a loop on the top, is that normal?

^image of a line i dont know what it is, but it has white tape on it, seems like someone who owned the car before me tried to tape it themself. I see black sludge that looks like oil deposit, and if you look carefully, youll see a black L with the hanging down, feels like rubber of some sort.and a red wire that seems to be coming out.

any ideas?

I can't tell whats going on with the second pic, but your first pic is normal. There isn't meant to be anything bolted to the outside hole of that intercooler bracket. And the metal thing with the loop on it is an oil dipstick. All is good and normal.

The hole is for the sti intercooler, same bracket. Not sure about the white tape thing, but i can check my 100% stock 02' for you after work tommorrow. Side note, I just made my 1st forum post ever and i think it was even somewhat helpfull.

haha i cant qoute everyone but thanks, well im not too worried bout the first pic, however the oil deposit is bugging me, i think they may be why i smell werid smell when i am reved really high in 3rd gear. Perhaps an turbo oil line leak like someone else suggested in the other thread.

-mod can you delete this thread please, thanks!
