Hitch and bike rack question

My 00' RS has the factory trailer hitch on it, and I am wondering if the hitch will fit my 04' FXT? I want to get a hitch mounted bike rack, and would like to avoid the $250 ( plus shipping ) for another hitch when my RS is an auto-x whore, and doesn't need it.

Other question is will the hitch mounted bike rack from the 04's fit the 00' hitch?

I dont think a 00 hitch will fit on an 04 car. The hitch mounted rack should fit any other hitch though.

Chassis is different. If they were 02-07 years it would work.

OP check out etrailer.com. I found my hitch on there for 89 bucks. It was good quality for the price and fit perfect. I told everyone I was putting a hitch on and they were like "WTF?" When I got it on, most didn't even notice until I pointed it out; the fit is great.

EDIT: Here's a link. It seems that either the prices have gone up, or the forester is more expensive these days. Still 140 to 160 though. Free shipping on 150 or greater.
