What does your tuner say? Please don't say you are controlling it without engine management.

More boost doesn't always = more power FYI.

I understand this. I am protuned with supporting mods and ap. I was just asking if there is anymore room to add more psi? I was told it was cut off since my 4eat was about at the limit. basically if there is more room i wouldl ike to get a racegas tune.

I think the vf48 will make hella boost if you weld the wastegate shut or the shaft twists in half.

You can't add boost without tuning. Talk to your tuner as our words mean nothing without your tuner's advice.

Depends on how the map was originally tuned.

The VF48 on 93 should have another 3-4psi left in it if intercooling & fueling capacity are adequate.

This is the info im looking for. Lets assume I have pleanty of fuel and intercooler forthe job. I am happy with my 18psi tune for street and dd use. I would like a high boost map, as well as a low boost map. I will talk with my Jorge about my options as well. Im just gathering info.

Mr. Testes, you have a pm. I have questions about your set up as im looking to upgrade my lgt too.

<<<<< Our turbos are pretty much identical. I have 40k miles on the car and between 4-5k are on the high boost map. 28psi yields only a few more whp than 23 psi, but in the midrange you get a crazy kick. Tuning and boost control is key, this will help determine how agressive you can go with timing.
On the high boost map I run the 28psi with 34-35 degrees of timing up top, and the car is reasonably quick for such a small turbo.

I use Ecutek w/ easy ecu. When I first purchased the car, I only wanted to spend top dolar on quality EM. My 04 sti was a 23psi pump gas monster and had the ecutek, so i figured I would stay consistant.

If I could go back and do it again, I could make the same power + have more options (ffs & lc) with open ecu. It was 1100 with all of my software and two tunes. It could have been free if I used open

Nonetheless, the car is performing as well as healthy through 40k.

I run my td04 up to 21-22psi in the midrange and it is quite entertaining
