My guess is: 2.5l non-turbo from the Crosstrek with around 182 hp and no manual. It'll probably offer the manual on the 2.0l version if that version still exists. If the 2.5l gets the manual I'll be shocked.

There is no reason it shouldn't get the manual since its the same damn 5 speed for the last 32 years used with every previous 2.5L.

In conclusion, bigger brakes, completely painted, all attn to detail that should have been added to the Hikingboot-RX. They mustve been over budget somehow.

I like the overall look. I still think the grille is huge, but it's better than expected.
I was told no MT in the past. I didn't hear or see any manual. I'm waiting for the press release. |

If this has a manual, cool. If not, major disappointment.

LOL. Subaru's marketing did a better job of selling car washes and dogs than the Impreza RS.
I guess Toyota won't let Subaru use the FA24D outside of the BR-Z/GR86? |

The last 2.5RS, in 2005, had 165 hp. It was renamed 2.5i the following year and got 175 hp. So this new car got 7 more hp after 15 years.

Not gonna be a manual. They said every Impreza comes with next gen Eyesight, which so far, has not been offered with the manual.

I would be curious about the weight too if not for CVT only... The previous two N/A Imprezas were not heavy in manual trims. The 08-11 was actually the heaviest chassis.

"For 2024, Subaru has streamlined the Impreza model line..."
Ya, we get it, Tom Doll is an *******. If I was Bucky, I would have bailed on doing that presentation. |

Nothing for me to see here. My ***8216;21 has all that and more.
If the 2.5 were offered in ***8216;19 I would likely still have the Imp Ltd***8230; I really enjoyed it other than its anemic engine. But my environment calls for a lifted vehicle for full access, so without a good reason to change I'm good for the foreseeable future. Seems like Subaru's innovation that brought reasons for frequent trades for the Subaruista is gone, replaced by dependence on a younger, less jaded customer that sees the newness of now. Nothing wrong with that at all. |

Looks better than the new WRX, that's all I can really say in the positive, and that's a really low bar. CVT only; good work Subaru, you did it, you lowered a Crosstrek and took off the cladding!
