Question Is it possible to switch front seats left <-> right ?

Since the left front seat gets used the most I was wondering if I could switch it with the right seat. Is this possible (w/o any modifications) ?

whoa! interesting question. but the answer is probably 'no'.

if i'm not mistaken, the seats have the seat buckle integrated, and that would make it difficult to buckle up correctly. for this reason, they've probably designed the seats so they don't bolt in properly if you try to do this. just would be my guess.

It can be done, but it is a PITA and not worth the trouble. Also, you lose some functionality of the seat (height adjustment). Also, the adjusters would be on the wrong side if you just tried to switch the rails.

If you look under the seats, you will see that they are very different indeed. I found this out during my leather install.

Airbags will be on wrong side. Bad idea.
