Default Ah man, after reading comments from n00bs about the sti...

I worry about the car.
All these little girls bitching about the wing and stuff....someone actually complained about the STI pink stickers (the same ones us OLD SKOOL peoples used to BUY aftermarket).
Once again, people who have no idea about Subaru are going to buy the STI and screw it up.
"I don't like the gold wheels, my BMW doesn't have gold wheels"
"I don't like that wing (the same wing that has been on fargen STI's for a LONG TIME) Its to big"
"I don't like pink stickers, I want red stickers like my Honda type R, GT-r, VtECK"
SHUT UP!
THe STI was pretty much everything that REAL subaru people have wanted for a while...it has exactly what we want
STI pink stickers
Gold rimz
BIG Ass Wing! (Just like it used to have)
Big ass hood scoop (OH yeah, it eats Little kids)
and a big ass engine with a big fat turbo in it.
I hate n00bs...and I have a feeling I'm gonna have to take another doseage of hateraid to spit on them soon enough

If it didn't have a huge wing, pink stickers, and gold rims, I wouldn;t buy it. It wouldn't be an STi. it'd be a souped up WRX badged as an STi to sell cars. The STi is something special, and it is how it is for a reason. and if you don't know what that is, buy something else.

i just let some morons in the STi forum have it. they don't deserve to buy the STi if they have the nerve to complain about it.

With only ~ 5000 STi's coming over, very few will get it.

Seriously, thats my only complaint.
OH that and it has that big wing. that wing is to big, they should have made a stupid ass small one like the WRX..that one is cool.

It's been pretty funny to see them bitch and moan about the stuff you mentioned. I think they should only sell them with gold wheels, and not have a delete option for the wing. And you should have to sign a contract that holds you to keeping the wing on or they'll take the car away from you and give it to someone that'll appreciate it for what it is.

Look at the upside of all this... more wrecked with parts to salvage...

And I agree... this is an STi... it's always been overstyled from the factory on purpose... love it or leave it... but I'll cry the first one I see with a trunk swap!

It was a great place to learn about the car and see first impressions in the beginning, now it's just a place for those who can't spell Subaru to complain about big wings and try to figure out how much insurance will be. I still like to look around there and post occasionally.

I agree. I went there for the first week or so and got some good info but after that, I could care less
Honestly, we know so much info on it already that that forum should be closed and everything archieved and when new info shows up, just post it in the general forum or something.

And put a disclaimer that any bitcing about stupid crap will be locked

If a person does not care for the styling of the car, don't buy it. If you choose to buy it anyway, shut your damned yap. Good Lord, can't people do something aside from whine and bitch about something? There is such a thing as constructive criticism.

Example: Keith, while I was honored your momz would like to fornicate like a mad, bald, screaming baboon with me, I was a tad put off by the fact she also looked like a mad, bald, screaming baboon. Please accept my apologies for my very quick depature without consumating any type of relationship between your momz and myself.

For the record, I'll never do any ice races in my STi (should I be so lucky to get one)

the STi forum is really starting to suck imho. i'm not sure why but the general flavor of nasioc seems to be nonexistant there, just a bunch of morons talking about 1/4 mile times for cars that no one has tested yet .

wrong forum, dude! But since you mention it here, who cares what people think about the STi? People who like it will buy one; those who don't won't.

I worry that people who don't like it will buy it and change it.
That would be a shame

The last type UK STi had the WRX spoiler standard, not the prodrive big wing. Why shouldn't we have the option here?

Why do you care? I think some of the cars I have seen on this site look silly/ricey but it's their car.
