Here you go. Good numbers there, how much boost and how much timing were you running?

Those are good looking graphs. I don't see any signs of the knock sensor pulling timing anywhere. That means no detonation.

We tuned the car last weekend so I can give some insights on the "state of tune"
On the 263hp 258ft/lbs run the injector duty cycles were much less than you might think. The reasons are as follows. 1. We were using C16 race fuel that has a very high specific gravity when compared to standard pump fuel. Each injector pulse is then good for, in essence, more fuel. 2. We were running the car at 12:1 Air-fuel ratio since C16 is such wonderful fuel. On the 243hp run we were running very high IDC (99-100) on standard pump fuel. On the pump gas runs we were at 24-25 degrees of advance at 7000rpms. Both of those runs were done on 16.9psi in the midrange tapering to around 12.8psi at redline. This car was one of my favorites to drive on the street after the tune. It would be a wicked autocross setup, and I have no doubt that it can run 12s at the track on the stock turbo. -Nathan www.turboxs.com |

I am not 100% convinced that his pulley did anything. I've made the same numbers at the same boost level and the same timing on another car without the pulley. -Nathan www.turboxs.com |

ive always been hearing good things about pulleys too... but maybe it wuz another company? Also, not sure of how much of a difference this would make, but does he have a sti scoop? or is he still using the stocker? What about intercooler hoses? |

I don't think the brand of pulley would matter, I just haven't observed any gains with them, and made the same basic power numbers on another car at the same level of tune. The intercooler hoses are supplied with our intercooler. No need to purchase any additional hoses. I don't remember if he had an STI scoop or not. |

Holy crap, those are great numbers, that must be an record for the stock turbo! Your car is definatly tuned to the max efficiency using the stock turbo for sure, impressive. Plus with the UTEC you can just switch to the race gas map whenever you want, nice.
Will running the 13g at nearly 17psi shorten it's life span? I guess they are plenty available for under $200 so you can always pick up an spare one.. |

Very good numbers
Congrats to you and a thumbs up to Phil, Nathan and the folks at TXS. Those power numbers are very close to what should be the theoretical limit of power you can get out of the stock turbo.
Max flow on that turbo is supposed to be about 360 CFM and the standard rule of thumb is it takes about 1.5 CFM for each horsepower (depending on F/A ratio). That works out to 240 hp so very nice job guys. Larry |

Thanks everybody!
The underdrive pulley just helps with quicker reving, it weighs like
5 pounds or so less than stock. I do have the Sti hood scoop. Thanks again Nathan and phil and TurboXS for the great products and support!! Adam |

The pulleys DO make hp
But not peak. Peak HP will be unchanged with the pulley. What you do gain is a slightly fatter curve. In other words, you pick up a few HP along the curve, and it comes back down at the peak.
I have seen a couple dyno charts showing this. I will scrounge around I think I saved at least one of them. In any case, its only like 2-5 HP but the revving is improved, and quicker revving=quicker spool=more power sooner. Not more power peak. |

I don't mean to be a party pooper but acording to the graph you posted, those numbers are at the flywheel. I hope I read the graph wrong.
