you would have to do some cutting of the GD dash to have it fit in your car because it is wider.

My mechanic told me that it is significantly taller and that it would represent quite a bit of work to make it fit.
Having said that, I've seen a whole GD dash put into a GC but not a GD gauge cluster put into an otherwise stock GC dash. I was also told that Vivid Racing did this at one point? |

there's a pic of someone with a ver7 cluster in a gc8. They had to cut the whole dash and do some serious work but it looked good. Here's a link.

It's not just the dash that you have to worry about. You have to think about the front door panels and the A pillars too. I thought about doing this on my legacy and had all the parts to compare on hand. It would've been more work than i wanted to do as the door panels were too short for my legacy. They would work on a impreza though. The A pillars would have to be changed out too as they would look funky.
You also have to think about the coolant line placement and the a/c lines where they come into the car. On my legacy they were different. Nothing a good hole saw wouldn't fix but then again more work. I think the main support under the dash would be pretty easy to fit in and make work. Brent |
