I'd say 250, I pulled 238 with a high flow cat. The guy who tuned my car said the most he ever saw was 250.

Can you define basic bolt ons then?
I'd be interested how this is possible without engine management.

surprising since most people trap about 106-108 for that time... yet not entirely impossible... i think you'd find more believers w/ a timeslip... I really wanna see the split times on that run.. you must have had a monster 1/8th

wRxbeater11,

Turbo Xs were able to get 75WHP from their stage III. I personally believe that you can get beyond 260whp.

add this to the Turbo Xs stage III package:

Headers
Sti Scoop
TMIC splitter
grounding kit
bigger injectors
bigger fuel pump
water spray intercooler
colder spark plug
cooler thermostat
better gas
pulleys
perhaps ported and polished stock turbo

As you can see , you can go very far with the stock turbo , it is the matter of how much you want to spend but I would say indeed more than 250whp...

BUT you get to a point of diminshing return too.
If I am going to do new injectors and a fuel pump, I may as well go for a new turbo and move to stage 4, no?

How much are headers these days?
Would it be worth it?

I did one pulley, ground "upgrade", all synthetic front to rear and cooler plugs. The synth and plugs were added after the tune so maybe I could eek out another couple of ponies.

Not the MAX but my plans are to hopefully see 240whp on a stock turbo.
I dyno'd 221 hp with...

Gruppe-S UP
HKS Downpipe
Cobb Cat-Back
SBC-ID @ 15.5

His pathetic mph clearly shows 2 things.

1) That his car is most likely on the stock turbo (severel lack of top end)

2) He car actually drive the car (Unlike 90% of suby owners)

You people doubting him should only boost his ego becuase it shows that what he did was so hard in some people's eyes they deem it impossible. (caughredrocketcaught)

Great times man. You are one of the few that make me proud to have a Subaru.

I totally hear you. Sux, but whatever. Most dont listen because there pissed. All the people with thousands of dollars under their hood looking at you like your an assh0le... This is the most common justification, and the reason they usually dont listen

"He must be lying"
"He just cant afford the parts I have"

I assumed people would be like "Yay that guys car rips!" but all you get is "That guys full of s#it", or "Yeah, wait till it blows up"

who knew I had the same problem with my T-T/A. All the GN guys would see what i was running and then ask me what was done to my car. I would tell them and they wouldnt beleive me.

When you achieve something that someone else has tried to do and is failing/ or has failed they just chose to assume its impossible to make themself feel better. I have found this to be all too common with drag racers. Not specific to any brand of cars either.

I love the people that say "Theres no way the stock (insert any part here) will do this" When the reality is the person either A) Didnt even try B) Tried and failed, or my favorite C) Read that it doesnt work on NASIOC

the words red rocket keep comming to mind...

OK maybe I should clarify my post since showing the slightest sign of skeptisism got people jumping up my arse...

I never said I didn't believe or that it was impossible.. just that it was far outside the norm... Now the reason people like myself question things like this is simply because so many people on here are just plain full o' shiat! A slip brings some legitimacy to your claims... if we just take things at face value I may as well go and buy an srt-4 since they claimed up and down to walk vipers in their forum for about the first month.

In this case I think we have a guy whose set up is working well for him and who is apparantly one helluva driver.. I for one agree w/ wRxbeater11 in saying please share the technique so others can improve as well.

for the 100000th time.....

- shallow stage
- blip/pulse throttle btw 4-7k
- on 2nd yellow, floor it
- not drop, not slip, not sidestep, not electric shuffle, RELEASE the clutch... do NOT let it go back on its own, but bring your foot back very quickly off of the clutch... almost like u just stepped in dog crap
- haul a$$ & embarrase everyone

im still experimenting w/tire pressures, but ive been successful w/25F 40R
