Question Helix DP with Borla Catback

Didn't know if I should put this here or in the Aftermarket Forced Induction. I'll try here first. My present setup is a Helix up and down pipe and I have a Borla Hush catback to install with it. The only problem is the Borla Hush is made to bolt onto the stock downpipe with a donut flange. The Helix downpipe has a flat surface.
Anyway I was just wondering if anybody has this same setup and if they do, how did they go about connecting the two.
Thanks

#1 Do a search.

#2 I mounted the same setup on my car using the stock doughnut gasket. I also used a double thick flange gasket with a steel insert on the face of the downpope and trimmed everything so the lip of the doughnut gasket interfaced perfectly with the gasket. Basically it goes....downpipe flange -> flange gasket with insert -> stock doughnut -> Borla round flange. Copper spray is also your friend. I have zero leaks in about 13000 miles.

Bolted mine together without any gasket and it doesn't leak.

Hello,
I have the borla Hush and order the Helix downpipe. So it bolt on without any adapter? Do you have photos? I believe that it would need some kind of fabrication. If it fit rigth away would be very nice. How about the restriction?
how does it sound?

I have the Borla Hush catback connected to a Helix dp. I bolted everything up as is right out of the box.

Rickyh, I've been trying to email you on this from another post with a similar topic, but think I've been emailin the wrong guy. Do you have any pics of this? I'm just wondering how you connected a 3 inch flat flange with a 3 inch donut gasket flange without getting any leaks? Appreciate the help guys, Thanks.

Default Thanks

Thank you all for your advice and help. Had a 3 inch pipe added in and a 3 inch flange welded on, all works perfect. Cheers!

Another question now though:

HKS up and down pipe with a Borla Hush Catback.

Why am I not seeing performance gains????
The car doesn't seem to have the pull it did before, throttle response seems slower and the turbo seems to take longer to spool up.
Other then being louder I'm a little disappointed. Am I getting turbo lag? I keep hearing that people re-flash the ECU in their cars.....is there something I should have done in order to get the performance gains that I expected from a 3 inch turbo back?

Without a re-tune, you won't get anywhere near the max gains from your TBE. Get Cobb's AccessPort and be happy-happy........
